Meet the Author

The format of the film shot on a mobile phone may need to need changed before you can uploaded to the site. For example from a 3gp file to a .mov file. Avoid avi files as these are very large and will take much, much longer to upload!

When using an Apple Mac for the first time you contribute film content to this site, you may need to select the correct webcam function:

Click on record audio/video now

The recording window will appear:

Click 'Record' and you will be asked to allow MtA to have access to your camera.

If you are then presented with a black screen, right click on the screen and select 'settings' from the options:

Select the webcam option by clicking on the picture of the camera:

Select the 'USB Video Class Video' from the drop-down:

You should now be able to see yourself!

If you get video but no audio on the review of your film, ensure your microphone is plugged into your computer and switched on. If audio is too low, adjust the microphone recording volume via the control panel on your computer.

An avatar is the visual representation of you while on the site. Your avatar can be a photograph of you, or a picture, any image you want really! You do not have to have an avatar to register and use the Marketplace.

The confirmation email to complete your registation, might have gone into your junk mail folder. If you are unable to find it anywhere in your emails, please contact us.

Yes, but you will need to change the format of the file using one of the following programmes: Quicktime, Realtime.

You can upload any of the following: avi, mov, qt, mpeg, mpg, mp4, flv.
