Victoria?s devotion to the duty results in the dog being imprinted with her as his mother. The two become so close that Victoria is able to tune into Gore?s thoughts which are truly amazing. She hears him voicing opinions and is embarrassed by his frequent bad language and unacceptable behaviour.
Gore is a handsome, intelligent animal but he is a rebel and the story is built around the failings of the human animal he thinks he is, and the persistence of his doggy instincts.
This book is different, it is fun, the possibilities for more stories about the protagonists are endless and pet owners could begin to look at their animals in another light after reading about absurdly amusing situations taking place in the Parker establishment.
