I sent the URL link to my pitch to agents in a simple email, just saying I was thinking about submitting to them and would they like to take a look. I had about half a dozen requests for material...but foolishly I did this before my material was up to a sendable standard. Thomas is being far more sensible - rewriting first, then sending.
