When I decided to throw in my job and head off into the sunset, complete with Oscar the dog, an aging campervan and my 'grown up gapper' husband, little did I realise it would become a search for the 'missing generation'. Just where are all those international-bright-young-things hanging out?

But, as always, the undisputed European crotch-sniffing champion (dog, not husband) won the day. Well, it's one way to find the missing generation. The agent of social integration, it seems, can usually be found at the end of a lead, pulling with excitement towards the next lamppost.

Congratulations on your pitch. I hope you recieve some interest. This is certainly the sort of book my parents and I would read, so although - as you say - the travel market is a hard one to crack, at least you are appealing across the board to a wide range of ages. Inspiring those slightly older to maybe take a chance on a bit of travelling and giving hope to the young that there's more left to life than just marriage, procreation and climbing the career ladder.

love
